Giant Scarabs, while not that threatening when encountered singly, they can become a major problem when encountered in groups. While their attack is not that strong, their exoskeleton makes for excellent defense. Because they feed on fecal material, Giant Scarabs require giant feces; therefore, Giant Scarabs usually indicate a larger beast is nearby (i.e. a dragon). While normally found underground, they do sometimes appear above ground when in search of food.
